Mary Hashem

President
Mary is the founder of Adaapta. She is an MIT-educated geoscientist with over 30 years of business experience in real estate, environmental consulting and management, the last 20 years of which has been in the Brownfield redevelopment industry. Her career has focused on the underwriting, remediation, redevelopment, and divestiture of commercial and industrial properties, including distressed assets with significant financial and environmental challenges.

Patricia A. Gage, CRE

Principal
Patricia Gage, CRE has worked as a developer, lender, and contractor in commercial real estate for over 30 years. She is responsible for the firm’s advisory services in the areas of financial analysis, capital procurement, public-private partnerships, community land trusts, real estate market studies, and development planning. Ms. Gage has secured more than $750 million in financing for land acquisition and construction over the course of her career, including brownfields loans, public TIF and PIF financing, and conventional debt and equity.

Kate Lucas, AICP

Planner
As a planner specializing in entitlements, conceptual site design, land planning, and community engagement, Kate Lucas has worked with over 30 different municipalities and numerous resident groups. She has managed the design, entitlement, and CEQA process for projects ranging from quarter-acre single-use sites to mixed use projects of several hundred acres.

Claire Skougor

Operations and Marketing Manager
Claire Skougor joined Adaapta in 2019 in the role of operations and marketing coordinator. Her duties include overseeing marketing and collateral creation, meeting coordination, invoice processing, and administrative support. Ms. Skougor is an energetic professional who uses her excellent communication skills to bring teams together.

Richard Lesser

Environmental Scientist
Richard has managed development projects on environmentally impaired properties, providing due diligence screening, remedy selection, cost estimating, and insurance underwriting support on numerous brownfield properties throughout the US. He has authored or co-authored twenty-nine public presentations and publications, most focusing on the technical rudiments that drive environmental cleanups.

Reggis Guthrey

Finance Associate
As the teams Finance Associate Reggis will help with any and all financial analysis, market research, capital stack building and project management. Reggis brings experience in the world of development and project management in the Energy sector combined with a Master’s in Business Administration focusing on Finance and Real Estate.

Will Currell

Planning Associate
Will recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder where he majored in Environmental Design with a certificate in Engineering Management. As a Planning Associate will uses his expertise to analyze market data, financing opportunities, and climate resilience strategies, and develop additional project specific research reports for impacted lands and communities.

Co-Canine Executive Officer
Bailey has over one year of experience in being the office's resident napper and co-mascot. Her favorite activities include sleeping on feet and chomping on Jasper's ears.
